EROSION BLANKETS

Surface Flow Control offers many erosion control products including Coconut matting, straw matting and sediment logs.

Straw Erosion Control Blankets are degradable, consisting of the finest straw available. Standard width is 8 feet. The product is lightweight and easy to handle.  Available individually wrapped of in master packs.

Premier Straw / Coconut Erosion Control Blankets combine 70% straw with 30% coconut to create a longer life blanket than standard straw blankets.  The straw coconut blend of fibres can extend the degradable life up top 24 months depending on the site conditions.

Premier Coconut Erosion Control Blankets are used for sever applications or where special seed mixes need long term protection.  The coconut blanket can provide up to 36 months of erosion protection depending on the site.

Premier straw / coconut and premier coconut blankets provide a high degree of erosion protection and longer life than a single or double net straw blanket.

GEO GRIDS

Surface Flow Control is a supplier of a variety of Bi-Axial and Uniaxial Geo Grids.

Bi- Axial Geo Grids are manufactured out of Polypropylene by a unique punching and drawing process and provides an ideal solution for soil stabilization, sub-base reinforcement, foundation engineering and other highway challenges.

Bi-axial features high tensile stiffness at low strains and excellent resistance to construction damage and environmental exposure. The geometry allows a strong positive mechanical interlock with the soil particles being reinforced.

Uniaxial Geo Grids are specifically designed for improved performance in soil reinforcement applications where strength develops uni-axially. Manufactured with high molecular weight, high tenacity polyester yarns by precision knitting process. It is dimensionally stable with uniform network of apertures providing significant tensile reinforcement capacity in two principal directions.

 

GEO MEMBRANES

Surface Flow Control supplies a variety of Geo Membranes which have distinct purposes and qualities.  Exposed geomembranes are UV stabilized and can be left exposed (no soil covering) for longer durations.

Backfilled geomembranes can be exposed for short term applications. Specialty geomembranes have special containment applications.

 

Most commonly supplied membranes include:

Enviro Liner - 4000 series. This specialized polyethylene lining material combines flexibility, UV stability and chemical resistance.  It is designed as a flexible cap material for landfills and general containment. Available in 20, 30, 40 mil thicknesses.

Oil Resistant Liner – OR RPE 25. This is an enhanced for oil and chemical resistance. OR RPE is used extensively in soil remediation liners and covers.  24 mil thickness.
We supply polypropylene (unsupported and reinforced), HDPE, PVC, and high temp geo membranes. Please contact for specific details and applications.

 

NON WOVEN GEOTEXTILES

Surface Flow Control is a supplier of Propex Geosynthetic textiles.

Non woven geotextiles are needle punched to form a strong fabric that retains its dimensional stability, adding years to the life of any roadway, railroad, landfill or civil / environmental engineering project.

Used in subsurface drainage, separation, stabilization, erosion control and cushioning applications, Propex geotextiles are resistant to ultraviolet degradation and to biological and chemical environments normally found in soils.

Poly Film; commonly known as vapour barrier is Polyethylene Plastic Sheeting for Multi-Purpose applications.

Woven geo textiles have a remarkable capacity for filtering soils, distributing loads, reducing rutting and extending the life of paved and unpaved roadways.

They are resistant to ultraviolet degradation and the biological and chemical environments normally found in soils; made from individual yarns woven together to provide dimensional stability.

All Propex geo textiles are backed by decades of in-field performance in everything from separation and filtration to erosion control and waste containment applications.
